Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
correct name on trust
If John Doe and Jane Doe have a living trust, titled The John Doe and
Jane Doe Trustees of the Doe living trust, dated April 15, 1999, and they use that for their bank accts and real estate, then John Doe dies and Jane Doe is the surviving spouse, how should the title on the bank read and should the property title change. Should the bank account read Jane Doe, trustee, of the Doe living trust, or Jane Doe, Trustee of the John Doe and Jane Doe living trust.

It depends on what the trust document says. But you should be able to read through it and see what the next step should be.
Re: correct name on trust
One needs to review the trust terms for a definitive answer. The trust document will provide for who is the trustee after the death of one joint trustee.
