Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
if a couple was legally separated for years, the husband purchased property during that separation and committees suicide a year later, no will left behind, is the wife the owner of that property? This is in California and there are 2 children both adults, no minors

No, but wife may have an intestate interest and may be entitled to a portion of the property, along with the two children. But he interests depend on the state of the title to the property at the time of the husband's death.
