Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Anything

From day 1 of my deceased parent's,nothing but scandalous people, have crossed my path.Could it be,because of the method it is posted in the public paper?I feel the way probate cases are published in the newspapers(of course for people who need and WANT to file a creditor's claim, against the estate)pretty much serves as an open invitation for scammers!MY QUESTION:2 years ago,I let a couple park their vehicle at residential property. This property is where I reside and is also in Probate.1 year ago they fixed their vehicle, got it started. They left to go get a car battery and NEVER CAME BACK.Over a week period I left a few nice and a few FIRM posted notes, letters on their front door.Even when I telephoned their residents, they'ed answer and quickly try to disquise their voice(like I had the wrong number)Last time they were at my deceased relatives house, I told them to secure their vehicle before leaving.I over heard the lady state to her boyfriend, not to worry, cause then they could ''SUE'' the estate. So now knowing how many scandalous people are out there.WHAT CAN/SHOULD I DO WITH THEIR ABANDONED VEHICLE?Can they try to counter-sue, if I file adandoned vehicle in Probate?

Re: Anything

The first thing is why haven't you discussed this with the attorney was handling the probate. Why is gone so long without you doing something. To let people take advantage of you, but the same time get proper advice so they cannot retaliate. First of all of it is an abandoned vehicle on private property he should contact the local police department to see if they can do anything about. Also there are laws applicable to this. You would send a registered letter return receipt requested requiring the owners to take it off your property within a reasonable time and specify that period of time or else you will have the automobile towed in left on their property, or at least in front of their property. I do what the big deal is if they are neighbors, give it back. Take numbers of pictures before it is moved and after it is moved so they can claim you've harmed the automobile in anyway. Basically think reasonably and cut them off the pass. don't do anything without your lawyer's advice and approval so you don't do something stupid and put the probate assets in jeoparday.
