Death of a single parent; no will

Mother passed away leaving two adult children & one minor child. No. Will. Children named as insurance and pension beneficiaries. Minor child living with father. Deceased has a home, unpaid vehicle, miscellaneous unpaid expenses. Cash in savings/checking accounts. How do the children take possession of the cash and what is expected of them re unpaid bills. Insurance beneficiary funds have been distributed; minor's being held until age of 18.
