Deceased Father's Car Payments
Since my father passed away I took over his car payments.I've been told by several people that I should find out if he had some type of insurance that would automatically pay off this car debt.I don't know were to start and I'm afraid that if I call the bank they will reposse the car.The thing that is confussing is that on the agreement done at time of purchase by the dealership does not say a word about next of kin or any info. which is strange,It's just numbers with total price etc.How can I investigate further on this matter since he didnt' have a Will? Who is responsible if he is the only one on that dealership contract?

Re: Deceased Father's Car Payments
I have never heard of such insurance. As for the money due on the car, his estate is responsible and the car should be included in the probate if you file one.
