Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Can a decedent's account be probated twice?

Hi, First of all, thanks for the help. Anyway, this woman died back in 1989 and in her will, she left her entire estate to her husband. Her will was probated in California. One of the bank accounts that was in her name was included in the probate proceedings, but after the probate proceedings, the account was still kept in her name. At the time of her death, about $160k of that account was probated. The account is now worth $215k, and the husband has also died. Does the account have to go through probate again, or can it be distributed free and clear?
