Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Disabled Adult Child In Danger Of Losing Home Shared With Now Deceased Mother

Since her death in 1999,I have remained living in the

home I shared with my Mother. However now,the executor

is attempting to sell the property, which will mean that I will be evicted. The property was owned by my

parents and I am their only child.

I am permenantly disabled and am recieving SSI for

physical and emotional disabilities. The stress of the

loss of my Mother, the probate process, problems with

the executor and having to live with the fear of being

left homeless are taking a toll. And I feel that by

having my home taken away from me will do further

emotional damage. Is there a way I can be allowed to

keep my house? The executor and attorney refuse to

discuss anything regarding the estate with me,telling

me that if there is something they think I need to be

told, they'll choose when I am told.I have been told

by both of them not to ask any questions,''make waves''

because then I would considering contesting the will.

I need to know my rights, both as a disabled person

and as a beneficiary and if there is any possible way

I can keep my house.I need to know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

because my very life could be at stake.
