Disagreement on guardian for children

If my husband and me disagree on the best guardian for our children, and therefore cannot name one jointly, would my separate naming of a guardian be given effect by a court in the event of our simulataneous death?

Yes the court will consider your nominee. It might help to explain your choice in the same written instrument.
