Is there a time frame in which funds must be disbursed.

They "must" be distributed within a reasonable time. So it depends on the facts and circumstances of your particular case.

I don't know if you are asking about a probate or a trust or what. If a probate, after the issues in probate are resolved, the distribution of assets occurs over a reasonable time period, supervised by the court. If a trust, it depends on the terms of the trust.
