Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Due to the fact that I have no money I opened up probate in pro per. I have done fine up until trying to sell my moms house. I am currently having an appraisal done but I have no idea what the next step is and of course the court wont tell me. I have an offer but the Judge wont let me accept it. This means more $$ out of my pocket to market it and/or publish it. What are my options?

Attorneys in probate matters are paid out of estate funds not your personal assets. As such you may want to hire an estate attorney who would be paid at the conclusion of the matter. If you have any additional questions I'd be happy to help.

Mr. Reid is correct. Probate attorneys are paid from the estate and the fee is approved by the Judge.

Selling a house requires the Judge's permission. So, you must file a petition to sell, give notice to anyone entitled to notice and have a hearing on the sale.
