Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My elderly mother lived with us for the last two years of her life. She needed help with everthing.she deeded her modest home to my sister and me.my sister did nothing. Can I get compensation from the sale of the house?

Did your mother tell you that she wanted to reimburse you for your time and expense in caring for her? Is there anything in writing? Does your sister agree that you should be compensated for taking care of mom?
