Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Entitlement
I have been estranged from my father for my entire life. He has remarried and has other children. He has recently died and I do not belive he has a Will. Am I entitled to any part of his estate. If so, how do I go about it finding what he owns and how to obtain my fair share.

Re: Entitlement
if there is no will you do have a right to anything a child would get. you can file a probate on his estate yourself if no one else has. if they have see a lawyer to make sure you get your share.
Re: Entitlement to estate of estranged father
If there is no will, you are entitled to an intestate share of his estate (a portion of his separate property, not community property).
Re: Entitlement
Yes you entitled to your intestate share. You would be well served by having an attorney follow up on the probate. Please contact me directly at (619) 222-3504.
