Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
After an estate is closed what is the time limit to contest or object to the handling and disposition of the estate?
1 Answer from Attorneys
In order to answer your question an attorney would have to reviw all of the documents and facts. Ordinarily, persons with an interest in the Estate are given notice and have the opportunity to object before an Estate is "closed". Your question makes it sound like the Court has already approved the Estate and therefore it sounds like the time to object has passed, assuming that you were given notice of the prior proceedings.
If the disposition ordered by the court has not been completed, that is a different type of issue and may be addressed by a motion to enforce the judgment. I would be happy to review the situation in greater detail.
