estate of deceased
When someone dies does their stock portfolio continue to be active or is it frozen?

Re: estate of deceased
The securities in the deceased's portfolio continue to increase and decrease in market value, if that's what you mean. Normally the executor or administrator sells the securities as part of winding up the estate.
Re: estate of deceased
It is still active, but who can access it is determined by the deceased person's will or trust. If none exists, then the Court will have to provide an Order authorizing the next of kin to acess the account.
