My Parents have been married for over 20 years, My Father has fallen ill. My step-sister is attempting to get legal rights to all of his belongings including two homes, however my mother is perfectly healthy and the homes are in her name only. What rights would my step-sister have at obtaining the properties. There is no will.

If she's filing conservatorship, she may be able to claim an interest in the properties on his behalf, but would have to file court documents to do so, and your mother, as his spouse, has first priority in being appointed his conservator.
