Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Estate of my parents

My mother and father both passed away and had wills naming my sister as executor. One of his major holdings was in CD's through a pentagon bank. They say they don't honor a last will and testament but they will honor court papers indicating my sister as executor, What's the easiest way to accomplish this in Ca.

Re: Estate of my parents

Depending upon the amount involved in the CD, it sounds like the will must be probated with the court.

I would be happy to discuss this matter.

Re: Estate of my parents

I am sorry for the loss of your parents.

If the estate does not exceed $100,000 and meets certain requirements the estate can be transferred without the need to open a probate. If not, the estate will have to be probated.

If you would like a free initial consultation, please contact me. I have over 25 years experience in estate administration.

Good luck and thank you for the inquiry.
