Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
What exact forms do I need to petition for guardianship of my son's estate? Do I need to establish guardianship of the person as well? Do I need to file in superior or family court? How much are the filing fees? Are there services available where someone can review my forms before filing them? For a flat fee?
He is my biological son and has been with me since birth. He is the sole beneficiary of his deceased (November 2001) father's life insurance and proceeds from a wrongful death suit in which I initiated. I now need conservative access to his funds to facilitate un-covered medical treatment for him and to continue his quality of life despite what the future may bring from my job and my ability to maintain what he needs.
After the guardianship is petitioned and granted, are there further forms that I need to file to grant access /justify the need for the funds?
Thank you.

Each os these situations needs to be addressed on a case by case basis and I, or any attorney, would need to know the specifc facts and circumstances in order to offer any advice. You should sit down with an attorney ASAP.
