Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Excluded from Will

An American man adopted two Brazilian sons. His will stipulated that if his sons were not living in the USA, they would lose their right to the inheritance. One brother inherited his share. The other brother was back in Brazil and did not inherit anything. Is that legal? Can my friend do anything about it?

Re: Excluded from Will

in order to answer this question completely and correctly the will must be reviewed and additional facts provided (such as whether or not the testator was of sound mind or under duress or undue influence). normally, however, an individual is free to disinherit anyone in his or her will.
