Can a family member stop a successor trustee from taking things out of the house.

I would need more information before giving advice on your exact case. Generally, however, if the successor trustee is now the trustee, for all intents and purposes, the trustee can remove items from the home for safekeeping. If a family member, who must also be a beneficiary of the trust, believes the trustee is taking items for their own use or gain, the beneficiary can demand an accounting from the trustee. If the trustee is non-responsive or untruthful in their response, the beneficiary can seek judicial review of the trustee's actions, including removal of the trustee.
