Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Family trust
Recently I became sole trustee of a friend's trust. Is this peculiar and am I at some risk?

Re: Family trust
It is not so peculiar, but you do have responsibiities and fiduciary duties associated with being the trustee, breaching the duties could open you up to possible liability.
Most of your duties should be spelled out in the trust, but we would be happy to review it for you if you would like a better informed response.
