Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
My father co-owns several real estate property's and he is having a mental breakdown and is not taking care of himself or his buisness he has bascially agreed to have me file a conservator ship on him so that I can try to get him out of his financial problems. He is basically going broke and on the verge of losing several property's. How do I go about doing this? I'm not sure what court papers or anything.

There are a lot of documents that must be completed and filed with the court. Then documents must be served on various people and a doctor's declaration must be obtained. The forms can be found on the California Judicial Council website.
However, I suggest you have an attorney assist you as the forms are very specific and the court procedures are complicated.
I agree with Ms. Rouse. Conservatorships are complicated and have on-going reporting requirements. You'll need a lawyer to help guide you through it.
The previous attorneys are correct. You need an attorney to assist you with this. I would add that, once a conservatorship has been established, you, or whomever will be the conservator may need to file bankruptcy, sell the business, or properties.
