Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
please help
My father died in 1981, his dad (my grandfather) died in 1988. My uncle (dads brother) told us (myself, brother & sister) we had a house, land and money after grandpas death. he said we would get it at 18 and not to find him, he would find us. My brother turned 18 1 year later. This was in '89. It's now 2000 and I found uncle theif in march. all he could say is that he was on a lot of drugs. we got an attourney and uncle denied our settlement offer, now it goes to mediation in Oct. Grandpa died intestate. What makes this interesting is that on the probate papers uncle theif said there was not a predeceased child and that he was the only heir. My question is, what do you think the chances of us winning are??

Re: please help
sounds like a good case. What does your lawyer say? He should know.
