Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My father died and left no will. He never remarried or had any other children. I am the only hier...I was granted limited authority over his estate and I am trying to sell his house. The judge appoved the offer I recieved but ordered the proceeds be put into a blocked account. The only info I found on a blocked account is for minors. I am over 40. What is the procedure to release the funds after escrow deposits the money?

I assume the judge wants you to follow the probate procedure and not just distribute the funds directly to yourself. So deposit the funds int a bank account in the name of the estate, pay off all estate debts, and do all the paperwork to get court approval for a distribution of estate assets.
