Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My father passed away recently, all assets were in a living trust with my mother who is the survivng spouse. Does she need to change title of real estate properties, stocks, bonds, etc. which are in the trust, into her name only?

I am very sorry to hear of your father's passing. Your mother should not need to do anything so long as everything was properly transferred into the name of the trust.

You and/or your mother should review the trust document to see if she is also one of the trustors. If so, then Mr. Linden's observations make sense. If not, then she might want to create her own trust to deal with the real and personal property.
