Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My father passed away recently and left his property to myself and4 siblings. My brother ids executor of the estate. He recently sold one of my father's apartment fir a million and a half under the estimated value. He sold it directly to the tenants whom have been renting there for some time. Being that my brother doesn't need money but i on the other hand do, can he sell the property at below market value. Can this transaction get him removed as executor. Would it benefit me to have an attorney? What would the attorney do for me? Thank you.

It does sound like you need a lawyer, at least to help you understand things. The sale should have been subject to the court's approval. If there was no approval you definitely need a lawyer to contest the sale immediately, and possibly get him removed as executor.

I agree with Mr. McCormick. It's not possible to tell you what can be done, without reviewing the will and the probate file (or trust documents, if the real estate was in a trust). At a minimum, the attorney can explain to you all your options, and give you some peace of mind.
