Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
My father told me he got married after my his wife (my mother) passed away.
I need a copy of my father's marriage license for some fiduciary responsibilities. I asked both my father and the person who he claims is his wife and they refuse to provide any information about their marriage including location or date of marriage. Is there a legal way I can get this information?

I am unclear on why you need that information but marriage license information is generally a public record and you can search the public records in the county they are in to see if there was a marriage. His refusing to give it to you indicates a problem that needs to be addressed.
Fiduciary responsibilities? You mean you are being nosy.
If you know which county he was married in, you can go the county recorder's office and obtain an "informational" copy of his marriage certificate. Of course, this assumes that the marriage was not a "confidential" marriage.
