You need to request a continuance of the hearing on the accounting, and you need to show up at the hearing to do this. Also, a courtesy call to the attorney for the estate is appreciated. Eventually you are going to need to detail your objections to the accounting and produce evidence for your version of things. Move quickly, NOW.
You should have had your former attorney obtain the continuance for you. Big mistake to fire an attorney with proceedings pending without arranging for a continuance. You can try to do what Mr. Seidler suggests, but there is a good chance your request will be denied, unless you have another attorney by then who will tell they court they need time to get up to speed.
