When filing an order for probate does the will need to be attached?

No. A copy of will is ordinarily attached to the Petition for Probate. In most California counties, the original will is either deposited or lodged with the court. You will need to check the local rules of the court where the Probate is located to make sure that you have properly lodged or deposited the original will.
