Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I am filling out a Living Will for my parents. By putting down me as chief executor, does this make me responsible for their debt. Credit cards, mortgage, etc.

The executor is responsible for paying outstanding debts from the assets of the decedent's estate.
