Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Can I find details on a living trust?

My elderly parents created a living trust naming one of my brothers primary executor and another brother as secondary (there are 3 of us).

While they were alive, some of their estate was used up towards medical and caregiver payments.

However, there are some assets left, at least one property and possibly some liquid funds.

My parents never mentioned the details of the trust; what would be the final disposition of their assets, etc.

Obviously, communication from my two brothers is less than perfect; do I have a way to find out from the court the details of the trust?

Do I have any legal rights?

Thank you.

Re: Can I find details on a living trust?

After the death of your last surviving parent, your brother(s) should have provided a notice to you under CA Law of your right to request a copy of the trust terms.

You are entitled to receive the information you seek, and should consider speaking with an attorney.

Feel free to call my office to discuss this matter.
