how do you find out which probate court the will was probated in?

It is supposed to be probated in the county of residence of the deceased. Try looking up the file on line.

If real property was conveyed during the probate, what is known as a "court action conveyance" will usually be recorded at the county recorder's office in the county where the property is located. That document will contain the specific courthouse and the case number.
