How to find will

my father inlaws grandfather left him as executive of his will, but does not know where his will was done, and his grandmother had a copy,but she died and they cant find her copy, what can he do.and is there a time limit for any of this, because she died in august. thank you.

Re: How to find will

Wills should be filed within 30 days of death in the county where the decedent resided at death. Although this rule, however, is ignored all the time, you might want to check the local court to see if they have a copy. If not, you would probably have to file a probate intestate or without a will. You should contact a probate attorney for further assistance.
