Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Is it possible to find out how a will/trust was written?

I would like to find out how our Aunt's will/trust was written. We are being told confilicting information. We were told 1) the estate was left to the sole remaining sibling (Aunt's sister) and 2) the estate was set up as a trust and left to two nieces and a church. Is this information available?

you should request copies of any will or trust from the person or persons who claim to have such documents. you can check with the superior court in the county in which your aunt died to see if a probate has been opened. otherwise, you will need to retain an attorney and private investigator to search for assets which might have been in your aunt's name and attempt to determine if there was a will or trust and whether or not there has been any fraud or malfeasance on the part of individuals in california.
