My girl friend cheated on me . When we were togethor i paid her phone bills .. We are on family plan , on agremwnt that she will pay me back later .. Now I left my lots of stuf her home and left to California for work ..she was cheating on me since then enjoying me paying bills .. One day she had to accept she's cheating .. And she told she's gonna send all my stuf in mail .. It's couple of expensive jackets and clothos etc which will amount to $700.. She said she sent it but it never reached me .. I guess she sold my stuf to someone... And she's not paying me for the bills .. It will amount to $400 .. Now what should I do ? She's in arkansas and I'm in california .. Can I get legal help to get my stuf back? She is working , age 23

Filing suit would be a waste of time and money. You would have to buy at least one RT airline ticket for Arkansa. Assuming they have one, which I have no idea whether they do, you could get a copy of the Small Claims Court forms and submit them with perhaps a $25-75 filing fee. Then you fly out for the hearing, $300?,which she request in the Court to be continued. If the judge grants that and rejects your request for her having to put up the price of the airline ticket, so you are now out about $700. You fly back and have a difficult time convincing the judge as to how much the clothes was worth. Most of if not all of her wages are protected so you will get a small amount per payment. If she stops paying you have to turn i over to a collection agency which will charge you 50% of whatever they recover.
You can send to her demand letters to try to get the items or payment. But there really is little you can do that is worth while.
