Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My Grandfather passed. We cannot locate his will. What dowe do to keep all family members involved honest.

Not much you can do except to open probate in the court. If he did not have a trust then, whether there is will or not, probate has to be opened, if his assets are over $100K.
