Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My Grandmother is concerned her son will try to sell her home from under her

My grandmother allowed her sociopathic son to move in with her. He has been systematically trying to convince people that she's losing her memory to try to over through her living trust. A friend of my uncle's felt guilty and confessed to my grandmother that her son had wanted him to help him scam my grandmother out of her home.

Now, he has up until very recently had access to her legal documents. Is there any way he can legally sell her house from under her? If he has no legal recourse what can he do illegally? She is filing evicition papers but he is becoming desparate (i.e. trying to force her to eat sweets when she's a diabetic etc.). How can she legally protect her home?

Elder financial abuse is unfortunately not an uncommon problem. If the son has had access to her money, the damage may already have been done.

If your grandmother has the wherewithal to do so, she could contact an attorney herself. If she does not, then someone should contact an attorney for her to discuss options available to deal with the son.
