Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my grandmother cosigned for a vehicle w/ me in 2006. My grandmother passed away in 2010 and the executer of her estate informed me that since she is the executer that she was now owner of the car and that I had to turn over the keys to the car to her, or she would report the car stolen. Not knowing any better, I gave her the car in July of last year. Long story short, the daughter of the executer is driving the car and getting tickets on the car which is apparently still in my name. I went to my local DMV and turned in a release of liability, yet tickets are still being accumulated and being sent to me in my name. Again I turned over the car in July of 2011. I am now being threatened with a suspension of my license. What can I do?

Get a local attorney to go after the executor of your mother's estate. If you were not delinquent in making your car payments, she had no right to take your car.

You may want to check with a probate attorney. The executor may be playing hanky-panky with the estate to your disadvantage. ACT IMMEDIATELY.
