Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
My grandmother died in oct. of 2006, at the time of her death she left everything to her living trust according to her no contest will. I have seen her living trust documents, although I never received a copy, My sister and I were her only grandchildren and only named beneficiaries. Her living Trust states that my sister and I are supposed to receive $30,000 each at the time of death and 30% of all property. My uncle (her son) was named as the Trustee #1 and my Aunt (her Daughter) was named as Trustee #2, My mother was always her most trusted child and was to be left completly in charge, that is until she died in a car accident in 1998. The situation is this, after Grandma died in 2006 Both of the Trustees told my sister and I that we would be getting money from grandma, We belived this to be true, here we are 3 years later and I have done everything in my power to contact the trustees, they have changed there phone numbers, they have basically disapeared. My sister and I have received nothing. The trustees received over $500,000 from my grandmas banks, insurance etc. Her home is still in the name of the Trust and worth over $500,000 and is paid off. I need help to get the money my grandma left for me, and to stop the trustees from spending all of her money on drugs and casino, I dont have even $1000 to pay an attorney up front and need to find an attorney that will work hard for me and i will give a percentage when I receive my inheritance. PLEASE HELP. I can answer any questions, I have done a lot of research, I need to know where to go from here and how to do it, The trustees did not even have the decency to buy my grandma a headstone for $1500, I have medical problems and need my inheritance to keep living paying rent etc. I feel helpless.... Thank You GOD BLESS, I will give you my phone number if you need it... I will be checking my email about 3 to 4 times a day. Respectfully Submitted,
Trustees ran off with our inheritance...

Lots of questions that arise such as insurance and other accounts which may be POD (payable on death) accounts which may, properly, not go into the trust. The question will be what property definitely WAS in the trust and should be distributed to you and your sister.
This sounds like it will take a lot of work.
However, I would be willing to meet with you, review any documents you have and discuss options. I would like to review any documentation you have prior to meeting so that I can review it in advance.
You can email me ([email protected]) or give a call.
