I am sorry to hear of your grandmother passing and the time it is taking to settle her estate. Probate can take a lot of time, sometimes as much as 2 years. You can learn a little more about it on one of our firm's sites, No-Probate.com.

It is odd that the attorney is not providing you with information. It makes it difficult to answer you without that information.

What information do you have? Are you also an executor of her estate or only listed as a beneficiary on her will? Obviously there was only a will and not a trust, I hope this is correct, otherwise her estate was improperly placed in Probate.

Perhaps if you can provide me with some more information, I can provide you a better assessment of your situation.

If you would like to discuss this matter further in a more private forum, please feel free to contact me directly at the email address provided by LawGuru or through our firms website located at PasadenaEstatePlanning.com
