Are heirs entitled to get a copy of the Trust from their deceased father?

Yes, but not from the deceased father. They should get a copy from the person who is currently the trustee.

yes, among the many responsibilities of a trustee of a trust that has become irrevocable as a result of death is notice to the beneficiaries and information regarding the terms of the trust (usually satisfied by sending a copy of the trust). to protect your interest as a beneficiary you should retain a qualified attorney. unfortunately, it is not unusual for trustees to fail to take actions required under california law, take actions which are improper or ignore the provisions of the trust - even when the trustee is represented by counsel.
