Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Are the heirs obligated to continue paying the fees on a time share? After the passing of both our parents, are the 9 children obligated to continue the yearly payments? As of now, the fees are continuing out of their estate, but the estate will be finished in 2013. We have tried to give the time shares back to the company involved, but they do not want them, only their yearly payment. Thank you.

Whom ever inherits the time share also inherits the burdens of the time share. Of course, heirs can decline a particular or entire inheritance, but then it would go back into the estate to e distributed to those that did not decline it. There are companies who will sell time shares for you [Angle Timeshares(not sure of name) and those who will buy them from you. For most people them are an economic drag; you could try to raffle it off or give it to charity.
