Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Hello,

When I rewrite my will with a new trust attorney, I want to make sure the previous attorney doesn't know the new one's name. I want to be sure that the beneficiaries I don't trust don't know about the new attorney. They currently know about the soon to be previous attorney.

Does one have to disclose the new attorney's name to the old one?

Thanks

No. But you need to tell and write to the old attorney that you are preparing a new Will and that the old one is revoked, because he will have kept a copy of the initial Will and if the new one is not found then the Court would probate the estate using the original Will. In the new Will you should state the date of the old one and the name of the attorney and that you informed him/her that the old one was revoked [attach a copy of your letter].
