Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
hiers
My dad pasted away in Feb 1995 and I am mentioned in the will. How can I get a copy of the part of the will that applies to me? My dad's lawyer said after my dads death he became my step-mother's lawyer and she (my step-mother)doesn't want me to have a copy.

Re: hiers
I suspect that something is missing in your question. For a person who resided at death in California, the will needs to be lodged 30 days after death with the Superior Court in the County where he lived. So you can read the will at the appropriate court house.
The rules are different if a trust is involved.
I strongly advise you to seek counsel to assist you.
Sincerely,
