Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My husband had a $50,000 life insurance in my name, but he had a heart attack and never came out of it the same. I was with this man for 13 years but there was issues when he got sick and went to go live with his mother. She then turned around and took her son to take my name off the life insurance, and mind you he was not in his right mind, he lived in the past and future and would forget what he said and did within five or ten minutes. When he passed away, I never fought it because they told me she set up a trust fund for my two boys, which were 4 and 14 when their father passed away. It was set up with $10,000 for each boys til they turned 21, my 14 your old did did not wait til he wa 21 so he recieved $7,000 but my second son waited til he turned 21 this year on 9-13-09 and he was born 9-13-88 and he only got $7,000 but his uncle only gave him $6,000 because he said he had to pay taxes. So my question is can my sons or I sue them for what was rightly mine and the boys

for that amount, it is probably not practicable to sue, but the tax on the life insurance was definitely a lie.
