Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Inheritance & custody for child (US citizen) of permanent resident parents
My wife and I are permanent residents (green card
holders) in the US. Both of us hold Indian passports.
Our infant daughter is a US citizen. I want to find out
what kind of lawyer I need to make an estate will about
our property and also about the custody of our daughter
in case my wife and I die together.

You will need to make a will or trust in your state of residence, and nominate your guardians in that will or trust. Also, if your estate may be taxable, you should ask the attorney about a "qualified domestic trust" to deal with the tax issue.
If you have property in India (or another country), you may need to have another will prepared there.

You need an estate planning attorney, and should probably have a living trust prepared. I would need to discuss things in more detail to determine what you really need.
Please call my office, and I will answer your questions. You can also go to my website, and I have a slide show under estate planning.

What you need is an Estate Planning Attorney who has a strong knowledge of Family Law. These happen to be the two areas of law that I practice in. I would be happy to discuss the matter with you in greater detail if you wish to discuss the matter with me.
