inheritance ta

I know there is no IHT in Calif. but is inheritance from British relative taxable in U.S.? (10,000 U.K. currency -- sterling).

if the decedent was domiciled in Great Britain, then no US estate or California inheritance tax would normally be due. however, it may be necessary to report the inheritance to the IRS. see::
