in california, if an heir inherits adeed of trust on a note which sold before testators death, is the heir also entitled to all of the payments collected between the death and the assignment of the property to the heir?all of the other of the property is split between 3 heirs. this heir took the property as part of his inheritance

Your question is unclear. If the note was sold before the death that's different than if the property was sold before death.
