Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Are Inlaws entitled to info.

If a beneficiary is in the military and out of state for 13 months, can his wife retain an attorney and request a copy of the trust, even though beneficiary gave direct orders to me not to share information with her? And does a power of attorney allow her to request a copy? I received a letter from an attorney requesting a copy of the trust and my personal paperwork as I purchased the home, but in this letter the attorney failed to identify who the client was even though I know its the beneficiarys wife. Since the attorney failed to identify the client and I have no copy of power of attorney I refuse to send anything. Am I right or wrong?

right --- but lots of questions so see an attorney to protect yourself as the question is insufficient to answer completely
