What options are there for investing money held in an irrevocable trust? Do the mandates of said trust dictate this?

Re: irrevocable trust

The trust is always the best place to start your investigation. If it is silent, then the trustee must use their best judgment to not commit waste or in any way breach their fiduciary duty to the beneficiaries through bad or risky investments.
