irrevocable trust
What options are there for investing money held in an irrevocable trust? Do the mandates of said trust dictate this?

Re: irrevocable trust
Its best to read the trust to understand your options. Sometimes there are limitations as to how you can invest, such as prohibition against investing in oil and gas, or margin accounts.
Re: irrevocable trust
The trust is always the best place to start your investigation. If it is silent, then the trustee must use their best judgment to not commit waste or in any way breach their fiduciary duty to the beneficiaries through bad or risky investments.
