Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I had a joint checking account with my mother in the state of California, POD to my sister and brother

my mother passed away in April and when I went to Wells Fargo they told me ok let's put the account in your name because the funds have now become your funds. They asked me do you still want POD with your brother and sister and I said yes.

What I want to know is are those funds mine to do with what I want or are they part of the trust. All her savings with with her name ex. Mary Smith POD she listed her 4 kids. and all these accounts are going through the trust and being divided among the 4 of us.

But I think the checking account money is basically mine since it was a joint account with her and me only. So can I do whatever I want with the money buy a pool, spa or what I want to do is cut everyone a check (split it 4 ways) thanks for the help

If you were a joint tenant on the checking account, the money is yours to do with as you wish.
